Georgetown Holiday trains run evenings from late November through the month of December, offering snowy views and a beautiful light show with holiday music.

The Georgetown Loop Railroad was one of Colorado’s first visitor attractions. Completed in 1884, this spectacular stretch of three-foot narrow gauge railroad was considered an engineering marvel for its time. This is a ride to remember!

The Georgetown Loop Scenic Train runs every day from May through mid-October and most days through early January. The train ride is 1 hour and 15 minutes long. Located only 45 miles from Denver and is nestled high in the rocky mountains.

Three-foot narrow gauge railroad connects Georgetown and Silver Plume. The classic steam or diesel locomotives gain 640 ft. in elevation over four bridges and 3.1 miles of track. The Devil's Gate High Bridge is a spectacular crossing over Clear Creek.

The train ride by itself is about 1 hour and 15 minutes during the main season and about 55 minutes from mid-October through early January. The train ride and mine tour together (offered April through September) is a 2 ½ hour experience.
