Gevo creates protein-rich additions to the food chain and advanced renewable fuels simultaneously, and also powers processes that create additional energy sources, such as renewable natural gas and green hydrogen.

Gevo’s renewable natural gas (“RNG”) project in Northwest Iowa produces biogas and injects it into pipelines. The project generates RNG captured from dairy cow manure (the “Feedstock”). The Feedstock for the RNG Project is supplied by three dairy farms located in Northwest Iowa totaling over 20,000 milking cows.

Gevo generates renewable natural gas, or RNG, by collecting manure from dairy farms. This concept fits in with our philosophy of addition by subtraction: We simultaneously seek to reduce waste as we figure out ways to generate usable renewable energy from the process.
