The design was inspired by the "Chap Harimau" (Tiger Brand) cement logo, which was commonly seen around the newly renovated camp. Additionally, the older version used the Romanised Bahasa Melayu spelling ( Za'aba Spelling ) of the unit’s motto, written as "Chepat dan Chergas", instead of the modern spelling used today.
