A distal region of the human TGM1 promoter is required for …
2004年4月5日 · TGM1 (transglutaminase 1) is an enzyme that crosslinks the cornified envelope of mature keratinocytes. Appropriate expression of the TGM1 gene is crucial for proper keratinocyte function as inactivating mutations lead to the debilitating skin disease, lamellar ichthyosis.
Determining the End Nucleotide of Telomeres in
2022年5月13日 · Telomeres are noncoding, repetitive DNA sequences at the ends of chromosomes that prevent DNA loss during replication. Telomerase is the ribonucleoprotein that extends telomeres by adding on telomere repeats. To do so, telomerase must recognize and bind to a specific sequence in the telomere repeats, which is often uncharacterized.
NMR solution structure of an asymmetric ... - Oxford Academic
2018年11月16日 · Here, we present the first nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) study of an asymmetric intermolecular leaped V-shape G-quadruplex assembled between an Oxytricha nova telomeric sequence d (G 2 T 4 G 4 T 4 G 4) and a single G-tract fragment d (TG 4 A).
Changes in physicochemical and anticancer properties modulated …
2022年8月23日 · We systematically investigated the influence of locked nucleic acid (LNA), unlock nucleic acid (UNA), and 2’-O-methyl-RNA (2’-O-Me-RNA) residues on the thermal stability, structure folding topology, biological activity and enzymatic resistance of three sequence-related DNA G-quadruplexes.
Herein we present a systematic study on the influence of UNA, LNA, and 2’-O-Me-RNA on thermodynamic stability, biological activity and enzymatic resistance of three sequence-related DNA G-quadruplexes which show considerable antiproliferative properties against …

Assessment of the quality of dna extracted by two techniques from ...
2011年4月1日 · We report a comparative study of two DNA extraction techniques, thermolysis and chemical lysis (CTAB), for molecular identification and genotyping of M. tuberculosis. Forty DNA samples were subjected to PCR and the results demonstrated that with thermolysis it is possible to obtain useful data that enables fast identification and genotyping.
