The H&K-GIAT PDW (unofficial designation) was a concept personal defence weapon designed by Heckler & Koch. The weapon was to be chambered for a 5.7×25mm caliber round developed by GIAT. It was designed in 1989 as an alternative to the caseless NBW.

The GIAT ADR (Armes de Défense Rapprochée, lit. "close defense weapon") was a prototype French PDW developed by GIAT Industries. GIAT developed the ADR to fulfill the French Army's requirement for a small-caliber personal defence weapon.
