2014年11月5日 · Not to many on the Gibson forum have played the J29. Anyone here tried one or maybe bought one. I have not found much in the way of reviews on this model. Is it the price or is it the Advanced Jumbo the rosewood Gibson and there is no room for this model in there line up.

2016年4月20日 · Gibson would have done better to give the J-29 a higher number than the J-45. J-46 or J-49... It wouldn't change manufacturing cost to give it a teardrop pick-guard and replace the square bridge with the upside down signature bridge and then brand it a J-45 Rosewood. It's really one of those cases where I wonder what Gibson was thinking.

2017年1月11日 · I much, much prefer mahogany Gibsons. (I have a '36 00.) Gibson acoustics tend to be overbuilt and tight -- some are DOA -- and rosewood can just make that worse. Don't get me wrong; I love, love, love a good Gibson acoustic, and they do complement the voice and record wonderfully (Beatles, Tom Petty).

2022年2月20日 · In my experience, the J 29 has a tone quality very similar to the Gibson AJ, my brother has both models and I've often played both. We also own Martin D-28's, and I'd say the most obvious difference is that the Martins are deeper sounding and the Gibson rosewood models are brighter, more treble focus.
