On that line the best caster based Gish is bladesinger. So many spells for all levels of play and plenty of non melee potential for certain situations. And the best martial Gish IMO is probably the hexblade. It’s a nice hit die and weapon proficiencies. It can easily be built in a few different way depending on how you want to be.

2021年2月28日 · Eldricht Knight and Sorcerer makes for the best gish EVER for "regular" gish, while Arcane Trickster + Sorcerer makes the ultimate best gish for people that prefer the duplicity of guerilla / ambush warfare tactics. Finally, as usual, Paladin mixed with a bit of any caster to expand utility and get more slots "earlier" is always a great choice.

2021年2月21日 · The issue is that 5e doesn’t have the best options for gish. The best are Paladin+Sorcerer/Warlock of some combo. Their spell slots get sacrificed for smites but they spare some for melee buffs. Eldritch Knights do this too and can be some of the best tanks in the game because of their AC+Spells.

The list of classes and subclasses in 5e that are effectively gish is pretty long actually. It makes one wonder why people are so amped for some kind of official "gish" option when there already are many available.

2023年5月3日 · I think since Shadowblade is often a staple of the gish-ier versions of Bladesinger there is too much thematic synergy here to pick something else. Be a shadowy elf, take a historically obscure elf originating style of fusing magic and warfare, the bladesong, and weild a magic blade made of shadows.

Not super optimal, but very flavorful and different, and potentially a peerless grappler if you take experise in athletics. Gets especially awesome at level 10+ once you start getting magical secrets and can load up on prime gish spells. 3. Paladins. Just... any paladin, they are the quintessential gish-by-default.
