2011年8月3日 · I grew up in central GA, and the gnats swarmed and hovered about to the point of complete annoyance. They never did bite me, though. On the other hand, the gnats in Savannah and Brunswick definitely do bite, ouch! The locals on St Simons said they were called sand gnats. I live in northern GA now, and I rarely ever see a gnat.

2015年5月21日 · Fungus gnats don't necessarily mean root rot. I've had them in my plants and haven't had root rot. I've gone a couple of weeks without watering my Norfolk pine and it's been fine but I think it will depend on how wet the soil was to start with as to how little water you can give it and not kill the tree.

2009年3月21日 · I swear I am killing 20-30 a day, every single @#$%^ day! Its driving me crazy. I thought they were mosquitos at first but then I realized I'm not getting bitten. 2009年5月16日 · Did you ever find a way to get rid of them? I'm going insane here. I have actually had 2 different pest control companies come every month since we had this house built 5 years ago. So we have the outside sprayed every 2 weeks. A couple of weeks ago I had one of the companies come and spray inside my house for these fungus gnats. Didn't work.

2011年6月20日 · Yeah, the gnats will be around for a while. Wear a hat. The woven straw ones that have loose ends around the brim are particulary good. Gnats don't like cigarette smoke either. Really bad reason to take up smoking, though. And there's always DEET-containing sprays which are quite effective. There are also homemade repellents that some swear by.
