We count it a privilege to come to the defense of God’s pure Word of truth —showing, for instance, that God is not part of a Trinity. ( Deuteronomy 4:39 ) At the same time, we make any such defense graciously, with genuine mildness and deep respect. — 1 Peter 3:15 .

2 As servants of Jehovah, we are convinced that he is “the God of truth” and that he always wants what is best for us. (Ps. 31:5; Isa. 48:17) We know that we can trust what we read in the Bible —that “the very essence of [God’s] word is truth.” b (Read Psalm 119:160.)

Whatever your challenge may be, it is not insurmountable. With Jehovah’s help, you can overcome it. May we be determined to accept his help and become, not forgetful hearers, but doers of the Word. Without a doubt, the more we read God’s Word and apply it in our life, the happier we will be. —Jas. 1:25.
