Golden Bug is an Indie Game Development studio based in Portugal. We are currently developing a metroidvania called Rabbit's Tale.

"The Gold-Bug" is a short story by American writer Edgar Allan Poe published in 1843. The plot follows William Legrand, who becomes fixated on an unusual gold-colored bug he has discovered. His servant Jupiter fears that Legrand is going insane and goes to Legrand's friend, an unnamed narrator, who agrees to visit his old friend.

“The Gold-Bug” is a mystery and has been viewed by critics as an early example of detective fiction, as a central part of the plot revolves around solving a cryptogram to uncover directions to buried treasure. The story popularized cyphers and secret writing, but more sinister undercurrents bubble below the feel-good adventure elements.
