WEBP is the standard for displaying images in web pages so I'm guessing you are right clicking and saving rather than downloading from within Google Photos.

It only seems to happen with WEBP file formats. JPG works. For WEBP files, I have to use the Windows snipping tool, grab a screenshot of the image, and then paste the screenshot into Google Docs.

At the moment Google Sites doesn't support .webp image file format.

Google's Lighthouse main complaint on my Google Sites (for my company) is not serving images in "next gen formats". Guess what? Google Sites doesn't support WebP/wp2/avif.

In my google search console,> pages > affected pages > Crawled - currently not indexed, I notice there are many images URL in it. I use Webp format when uploading images and majority of them Webp.

Please support webp in addition to the existing jpg/png image types that can be imported into Google Presentations.
