Gosai Ghat, Srirangapatna, Mandya District. Gosai means Sage in the northern part of India. 300 years ago, a sage named Udaya Bharati brought a shivalinga from Kasi and installed at the banks of one of the streams of the river Cauvery, flowing through Srirangapatna. Thus this place christened as Ghosaighat.

Gosai Ghat: This is situated on the banks of the Cauvery river, upstream of Sangama. It is an ideal spot for picnics and many movie scenes have been shot at this location.
