Two GP-15s with fresh Red and grey paint and LTEX marks went south on a train to Cincinnati on Toledo Sub today.

Conrail moved their GP-15 units in to replace yard switchers on some close-in branch switching jobs. I was under the impression the crews preferred the GP-15 units.

Today Blackmon Auctions on behalf of Union Pacific auctioned off twenty-five surplus GP-15 locomotives in East St Louis, MO. Prices ranged between $70,000 for the UPY 690 to $122,500 for the UPY 736.
