I have 3 LEO friends that carry the XD 45 right now. I've talked to two of them and they both said "No" they wouldn't carry one as long as that's on the grip.

2018年10月8日 · I think the whole reason for the "Grip Zone" wasn't so much marketing, rather if i had to guess, they wanted to put some lettering on the side to keep it from being smooth and give it just a little bit of texture. That being said, the grip zone technology really makes the gun easy to hold and grippy. I didn't dissuade me from buying one.

2014年11月25日 · To each their own. The looks of the grip zone are not the issue. Its the sides of the grip being slick where it says grip zone. Stippling is for functionality. Grab a mod 2 when its hot out at the range and your palms are sweaty or speed draw from concealed and you'll see why the grip zone is less desireable.

2019年3月18日 · The Grip Zone does not bother me. I understand why they put it there and it's a reminder to me about proper grip and recoil control. When the game is over, both the king and the pawn end up in the same box!

2016年8月18日 · I have the XD-9 sub-compact mod 2 and the "grip zone" is advertised on a critical region of the handle. I modified mine by stippling over it and I can tell you 100% there is a major difference when drawing from concealed.

2015年10月1日 · Why did they write "GRIP ZONE" on the grip, why??? I so like this gun in 9mm, but man, that text on the grip, looks, well, bad. Not sure if it's bad enough to prevent me from getting one though, lol. Really like the size, capacity and I suspect it is nice to "grip". It just looks like something from Nike or Rebock or something!
