Gruff the NeverBeast (also known as the NeverBeast) is a giant furry monster and the deuteragonist of Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast. Despite looking big, mean, and scary, Fawn the animal fairy, however, sees otherwise of him and becomes his closest friend.

While the scout fairies gear up and hunt for the NeverBeast, Fawn fails to find Gruff. Tink finds her and warns her that the legend is coming true. Gruff has two more towers to build: one in Autumn and one in Winter. Tinker Bell takes Winter, and Fawn thanks her for defending Gruff, who is building the towers faster than before.

Using some information gathered from several torn pages of an undisclosed animal book, she discovers that Gruff is actually the NeverBeast, a legendary creature that awakens once every millennium, when he will build and use rock towers to transform into a terrifying beast that could destroy Pixie Hollow.

Gruff, also known as The NeverBeast, is the titular deuteragonist of Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast. Even though he looks like a monster, Fawn approaches him and learns to admire and love him.

The subject of an ancient Pixie Hollow myth, GRUFF is a massive creature with glowing green eyes and a penchant for stacking rocks. Nyx Scout fairy leader Nyx protects Pixie Hollow and all of the fairies.

Tinker Bell takes Winter, and Fawn thanks her for defending Gruff, who is building the towers faster than before. Fawn sees that Gruff has just built the Autumn tower, and so do the scouts. Meanwhile, Tinker Bell looks in Winter for Gruff and is almost struck by lightning. Just then, she finds Gruff, who charges toward her.

Tink finds Gruff in Winter, and she tries to coax him away from the scouts. A lightning bolt flashes, and Gruff hits Tink with a flick of his tail, knocking her unconscious. Fawn flies up and sees Gruff sprout horns, and she realizes the legend is true.
