The guitars were Korean-made, long before Korea got their act together as guitar makers. The really low-end acoustic was the A-1, and these were the worst pieces of sheet Guild ever sold.

2020年10月4日 · I am looking at guild Starfire IVs and Vs, and I see Starfire IVs and Vs from the mid to late 90s for around $2600 Canadian, and there is a Starfire IV westerly that I am looking at that is selling for $3200 Canadian. I know the westerly guitars are of an awesome quality; what I don't know is where the regular guild starfires were made in the 90s.

Then on the matter of guitars under warrantee I used to have 3, but I unfortunately sold a 2007 Tacoma F50r that I bought NOS in 2012 still with a full warrantee.

2015年5月21日 · I did a bunch of research on "Burnside" by Guild guitars a couple of years ago when several NOS condition Burnside's showed up at a Friends music shop in the Hill Country. The guitars were from a Retired Guild sales representative that didn't play guitar. Every year they would give him guitars as a bonus and he would just store them.

2025年1月14日 · So I made an adjustment to the truss rod cover of my F-50 and the truss rod cover broke, the top of the top screw hole just fell off so that the top screw does hold it in place. So while looking for a replacement, I found the following. Kind of cool, maybe I'll try one of these...

2008年3月3日 · Solid Sitka Spruce top. Conventional wisdom says that Spruce is the best bang for the buck, at least for non-specialty guitars (i.e., guitars that are equally suitable for fingerpicking, flatpicking, or strumming). Adirondack was out of my price range and I wasn't looking for the warmth of Engelmann, so Sitka was the default choice.

2016年12月9日 · Tacoma did nice work, Rich. I fell in love with an F-512 (rosewood) from Tacoma years ago and that's the reason I became a Guild fan. I've played many of the guitar from Tacoma including their homebrew Tacoma brand guitars, and I really liked a few of those dreads too. Most of my experience is with their rosewood guitars, though.
