For final wipe down after cleaning and reassembly several dots/drops of rem-oil spread around all over with fingers and gently wipe off with clean rag, I'm done.

2011年12月14日 · Ammo cans are Good to go! They can be sealed up for fumes and keeping oily rags from being left in the open. I make my own solvent and gun oils. The solvent goes in a one or two gallon plastic gas can and the oil in a 24 ounce spray bottle. Usually keep about 6-8 cans of carb cleaner or brake cleaner for cleaning the guns.

2012年7月3日 · I always carry a couple large rags for laying out the dirty parts as well as a couple for wiping down(and patches). With the cleaning solvents it all fits in an ammo can. The pistol rods and all jags brushes usually get thrown in there too. I ust carry the rod for the rifle seperate.

2016年1月26日 · Bear, just wipe off the excess with a rag, I use microfiber rags, and run it. Next time you clean it you can get more detailed. Don't worry about it. I use Ballistol for clean and lube. Many thousands of rounds later it looks like new. Heck one trip had me shooting 500 rounds from my 19 with various brands of ammo. No problems.

The Armor was cleaning somebody's gun and slide striped everything out and it was dirty gunky. He told him not to oil anything from the ejection port back.

2022年5月24日 · Due to the dusty environment I shoot in ,I use a silicone spray. It drys on contact ! Once a week when I give my work rifles a good strip and deep clean ,I remove it and replace it with a fresh coat ! I spray the silicon onto a cleaning rag and apply lightly to the action!
