Nov 20, 2020 · If I may suggest IMHO, that this is by far the best gun oil I have ever used in over 40 years for auto loading pistols, assuming that is what you have. LUCAS, EXTREME DUTY, GUN OIL. This little bottle can be purchased at most Oreilly Auto Parts stores, oddly enough. It cost $5.00 or $6.00.

I use CLP to swab down barrel bores after they are spotlessly clean, and either GI LSA gun oil, Rem Oil or 3 In One oil on a cotton cloth to wipe down outer surfaces for rust and corrosion protection during storage.

Even after a bunch of shooting and the wife dropping the locked back slide pistol into the dirt, the gun just kept on running no matterhow dirty the oil got. I have fired over 10,000 rounds through that gun and this is the best lube I used on it, PERIOD! Infact the gun still feels so slick I did not clean it.

Feb 5, 2022 · I think just using regular motor oil will be fine by itself as a lube for ARs and dont see a need to mix it. Even with ATF ( which is a thinner oil but with lots of detergents added and we dont need the extra detergents for alube.) ARs need oil thats more heat resistant than tradtional gun oils and so I found remoil was too thin.

I saw some oil with teflon added. I looked in a few other forums and they seem to be okay with it. This Tri-Flow oil works well on dang near everything.
