2011年6月23日 · Back in 1934, Daisy had hit a home run by producing the first Buck Rogers metal toy ray gun, the XZ-31 Rocket Pistol. The next year, Daisy introduced another huge success: the XZ-38 Disintegrator Pistol, a ray gun with a new art-deco design.

Following up on the success of the Rocket Pistol and the surging popularity of Buck Rogers, in 1935 Daisy produced a new Buck Rogers gun, the XZ-38 Disintegrator Pistol. A masterpiece of art deco design, this gun featured a fluted barrel and flamboyant fins.

From 1934-36 Daisy made 13 different models, all with different features and little appearance tweaks. One cool feature that makes them stand out today: they were made of actual metal. Take the XZ-35 for example, it is a small metal Rocket Pistol called the “Wilma” version, which is only 7-1/2 inches long. But the XZ-36 had a leather holster! Nice!

2023年12月31日 · I've been looking for a box for the XZ-31 for some time, but I'm thrilled to acquire its sister. Two points: First, the Alphadrome description of this gun is a bit misleading. It reads, "The box is the same [as the XZ-31], except that it carries the XZ-35 wording." It's true that the graphics are the same, but I believe it's significantly smaller.
