She also had the honour of pulling the first (non-public) train to Broadway on the newly opened GWSR extension to Broadway, being amongst the first steam engines to travel back there since steam vanished in 1963. In 2019, 7820 enjoyed a well-earned rest from visiting, whilst DMLL concentrated efforts on progressing work on engine 3850.

7820 ‘Dinmore Manor’ continues in regular service at the GWSR and is popular performer amongst crews and public alike, although it has also made frequent short and longer visits away to many of the UK’s premiere preserved railways, including its former long-term home of the West Somerset Railway.

Being heavily committed to running and overhauling existing engines 7820 and 3850, the decision was taken to transfer 2874 into a separate trust that could independently fund and manage the engines restoration.
