2024年1月24日 · GeoXO (Geostationary Extended Observations) is a planned constellation of three satellites developed by NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) in collaboration with NASA. The mission is designed to advance environmental monitoring across the Western Hemisphere.

GeoXO will provide real-time, high-resolution visible and infrared imagery for monitoring Earth’s weather, ocean, and environment.

NOAA plans to include a hyperspectral infrared sounding instrument as part of the GeoXO satellite system. The GeoXO Sounder (GXS) will provide real-time information about the vertical distribution of atmospheric moisture, winds, and temperature.
