The Sikorsky H-34 (company designation S-58) is an American piston-engined military utility helicopter originally designed by Sikorsky as an anti-submarine warfare (ASW) aircraft for the United States Navy.

A Heeresflieger H-34 near the ferry terminal in Norden, connecting the East Frisian Islands which were cut off by the severe winter weather of 1963. The helicopter was returning to its maritime roots as it was ordered as an HSS-1 Seabat, BuNo 150745. 94 Seabats were diverted to Germany in 1962 of which 24 were passed on to Israel.

H-34G-III - c/n 58-1557 - Modex 80+73 - Marinefliegergeschwader 5 - Deutsches Museum, Munich - 2002 75 HSS-1N airframes were completed to CH-34C standards as BuNos 150733-150807 for delivery to the West German Navy. '80+73' was in service with MFG 5 until 1975.
