Pathology Outlines - Hepatocellular carcinoma overview
2024年12月10日 · Histologic type is hepatocellular carcinoma with grade G2 - G3: moderately to poorly differentiated. The tumor is confined to the liver and biliary and vascular margins are free of a tumor. Vascular invasion is present. No lymph nodes were submitted or found. AJCC 8th edition pathologic stage is ypT2NX (combined stage II) and UNOS stage is T4a.
Immunohistochemistry of Hepatocellular Carcinoma
2016年10月20日 · Although the histological and cytological features of differentiated hepatocellular carcinomas (HCC) usually allow a reliable diagnosis, poorly differentiated HCCs and tumors found in small samples require immunohistochemical confirmation. Generally, cells of HCCs share with normal hepatocytes a rather wide array of lineage markers.
Immunohistochemistry in the Diagnosis of Hepatocellular Carcinoma
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) can be difficult to distinguish from its mimics, including metastatic tumor, benign hepatocellular lesion, and high-grade dysplastic nodule, especially when limited biopsy material is available. Hence, the judicious use of immunohistochemical stains is necessary to est …
Diagnostic utility of immunohistochemistry in hepatocellular carcinoma ...
The role of IHC is in the distinction of benign hepatocellular nodules from reactive hepatocytes; WD-HCC from benign hepatocellular nodules; poorly differentiated HCC from cholangiocarcinoma and metastases; and determination of histogenesis of malignant tumor; and of primary site of origin of malignant tumor.
Application of Immunohistochemistry in the Pathological Diagnosis …
Fibrolamellar HCC usually demonstrates positive immunostaining with anti-Arg-1, Hep Par 1, and pCEA antibodies, but the positivity rate of GPC-3 immunostaining is rather low (17–64%) [25,44,45,47,48].
Hepatocellular Tumors: Immunohistochemical Analyses for …
Prognosis of HCC is traditionally based on staging, which includes pathological parameters on tumor morphology. As there is increasing understanding on the cellular mechanisms and molecular pathways implicated in the HCC, some molecular markers have been identified for diagnostic utility.
Comparative Immunohistochemical Analysis of Clinicopathological ...
Background: Standardized pathological evaluation based on immunohistochemical (IHC) analysis could improve hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) diagnoses worldwide. We evaluated differences in clinicopathological subgroups in HCCs from two academic institutions in Tokyo-Japan, and Jakarta-Indonesia.
Immunohistochemical (IHC) markers such as alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), glypican-3 (GPC3), heat shock protein 70 (HSP70), and cytokeratin 19 (CK19) have shown promise in HCC detection and prognosis. However, their utility in clinical practice remains to be fully elucidated.
Nine-factor-based immunohistochemistry classifier predicts …
2020年5月7日 · We aimed to establish and validate an immune classifier to predict survival after curative resection of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients who have undergone curative resection. The...
The best immunohistochemical panel for differentiating hepatocellular ...
2010年8月15日 · It can be difficult to differentiate hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) from metastatic adenocarcinoma (MA). An appropriate immunohistochemical panel is required for the differential diagnosis. This study aimed at finding the best panel, including hepatocyte-specific antigen (Hepatocyte), pCEA, CD10, Villin, CD34, TTF-1, MOC-31, CK7, and CK20 ...
