These figures are very theoretical and also frequency response dependent. On the note of comfort, they gave HD 700 a higher score with 8.5 against HD 800 S' 8.0:

Aug 17, 2018 · Resurrecting an old thread here. The original question was the difference between the HD 700 and HD 800, both with frequency response "corrected" with EQ. I don't think the question was answered. I've just got the HD 800S. I really like it but I was not BLOWN AWAY by the soundstage.

Jan 25, 2019 · Take these numbers with a few grains of salt. They were obtained with the tip of a UMIK-1 mic 1/8" from the center of the fabric cover inside the earcup of the HD 700. The numbers are the greatest percent seen between 20 Hz and 35 Hz, as listed in the REW distortion screen. At a measured output of 89 dB, the Mojo's largest 2nd harmonic was 11.2%.

Jan 23, 2020 · FACT : I love my Sennheisers (HD 58X, HD 600, HD 660, HD 700 with original senn earpads, HD 800) with the exception of the HD 650 and in lesser degree the debacle with the HD 700 earpads. PS : the veiled sound on the HD 650 was not caused by the pushed in dome, please re-read the article.

Mar 22, 2021 · I have the 5 ,6 and 700 from all of them i prefer 6 line the most , 600 are the most in your head vocals and so tight and pushed to me , HD 650 are smooth but without losing detail they have a warm tone to them that 600 doesnt have , And 660s are like something from both of them , they are for sure more detailed than 650 way better imaging and instruments separation …
