2005年8月14日 · Really confusing generations in HD580 precision. I am still using my HD580 precision now for TV but mine bought in June 1994 in Japan which has flat name, has white screen on the left and black screen on the right. Haven't fixed them and that color from new. But that doesn't match the generations written in this thread.

2005年8月14日 · Bass Slam - HD600 < HD580 < HD650 Mid Range depth and warmth - HD600 < HD580 < HD650 Mid Range clarity HD650 < HD580 Treble Clarity HD650 < HD580 < HD600 Soundstage: HD650/580 tied From what I can gather the 600 would probably the best for monitoring purposes. For listening to classical and instrumental music the HD580 beats the HD650 hands down.

2008年11月30日 · IIRC, the HD580 and HD600 share the same drivers, but the HD600 drivers are more closely matched, and the housing of the HD600 is made to have less resonance or something of that nature, compared to the HD580. EDIT: If this is wrong in any way, I'll wipe this post, but I'm pretty sure that's how it went.

2020年12月1日 · The HD580 Jubilee midrange is similar to the HD580 2nd version which has a warmer tonality. Midrange is one of the best features of this line. The DT 880s midrange is similarly neutral, less natural sounding and further away. From a sound purist perspective HD580 Jubilee > HD580 2nd Version flat plate > HD580 3rd Version raised nameplate.

2005年8月14日 · The midrange is actually the spectrum which sounds most similiar between the HD580 and the midrange planars. Especially voices don ´t really sound off on any of the Audeze or Hifiman cans, there is a small upper midrange dip here and there but nothing that really bugs me. Treble is the main reason i love the HD580 sound.

2024年2月25日 · Acoustics and vocals can sound nice on the HD580 but overall you'll feel it's a downgrade. The HD600 is one of my all time favorites, even used ones keep their value compared to many others. The HD700 is more comfortable, the Hifiman HE5xx is a terrific planar magnetic that's similar if you want to try those.
