2015年8月5日 · OT: HDD activity LED is tied to the boot drive (don't ask me how or why) as far as I know and it still works on SSDs. I assume it's tied to I/O signals from the drive(s) Remember kids, the only difference between screwing around and science is writing it down.

2016年5月16日 · I am thinking of changing out my stock power and HDD LEDs on two of my computers and I am wondering what the voltage coming out of the pins on the motherboards are. The motherboards in the computers are a MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 and a MSI Z170A PC MATE. Thankful for some answers!

2022年2月14日 · The HDD LED is 2 pin as expected. Actually, the PC that I was transplanting into the new case doesn’t work after the swap. But, it seems like my dad (the owner of that system) and his friend trouble shooted and found out that the MOBO was bricked, as it would not post but would have the indicator light on.

2015年5月20日 · Is the HDD LED on even when there's nothing loading to/from the m.2 SSD? On my case the HDD LED is consistently on when the SSD is used (loading to/from it) and it flickers when the HDDs are being read/written from/to. Some guy over on the Anandtech forum had the same issue with his SATA SSD and it turned out to be a trojan.

2015年8月1日 · My hd led has stopped working suddenly. Pc works fine. Both hdds are working fine .Ran chkdsk, diagnostic tool, malwarebytes , no errors. NO problems in the pc so far. Just the hd led wont work. I have checked the led , wiring , polarity .. no difference . Is it a board problem ? Board is m5a97 r2

2018年5月19日 · HDD Led is straight forward...just solder a new on instead of the existing. For the power led you have to take apart the white plastic housing (be careful not to break anything - power button will be worthless then. Then you have to desolder the legs of the power led and pull it from above with a very tiny pliers.
