Most of these new monitors have hdmi 2.1. HDMI 2.1 can display 4k at 240hz without DSC. HDMI 2.1 offers a maximum data rate of 48 Gbps, which is higher than the 32.4 Gbps offered by DisplayPort 1.4.

2023年6月28日 · Display port 1.4A has less bandwidth than hdmi 2.1. What happens is display port 240hz HDR can run native 8bit but compresses 10bit visually lossless. Hdmi is able to do 10bit 240hx without compression and 12bit 240hz with compression. Bit depth allows for more colors and properly implemented, better gradients.

2021年8月15日 · There is no display port or type c connector unfortunately but there is a normal HDMI port which I use for a 4K 60hz TV. What I am asking is, can I hook up a 240hz monitor to this laptop using the HDMI port alone? What cables or hardware would I need to do to get the 240hz? Or am I stuck with 60hz until an upgrade. I have a Samsung G95SC (OLED G9) + RTX 4080 and use HDMI 2.1 to run at 5120x1440 @ 240 Hz. For my case, I don't think it matters if I use DP or HDMI, but I picked HDMI to keep things simple for me since I also got a KVM switch with HDMI 2.1 and a MacBook Pro with HDMI output.

2023年10月4日 · I use the Neo G8 4K 240Hz 32" with a 4090 and it works perfectly fine with the default cable but also with a 2 meter cable from Amazon. I bought 2 of them - 2 meters and 3 meters but haven't tested the 3 meter one yet. Reason for a longer cable: The PC is in a different room with cables through the wall so I don't hear anything.

2022年8月1日 · I keep seeing that people are using dsc for 4k 240hz but that doesn’t make sense i would have thought 4k 240hz could be done natively afterall hdmi 2.1 can do 8k 60 and that has the same pixel throughput as 4k 240

I have been searching through Amazon and Newegg for HDMI 2.1 cables and each one has different specifications on what resolution and framerate they can output. I can't seem to find any HDMI 2.1 cables that support 1440p 240hz on any retail websites.
