2012年4月1日 · If you're more comfortable playing a Strat and you want the HH of your SG. Get the HH Strat and don't worry about the approval of others. There was a time I wouldn't have typed that but I'm mellowing as I age. My only other advice would be to take your time and save the money or collect the parts for your Strat. A used Strat works for this to.

All my amps and pedals. GONE! All I kept was a cheap Ibanez acoustic. Then came COVID and I was laid-off. I wanted an electric in my life so badly.

2022年3月11日 · Planning a conversion of my SSS strat to a HH. I find Toneriders to be great bang for the buck so considering these. I guess the Alnico 2 and Alnico 4 and the Rocksongs would be of consideration. I like some clean and light gain tones but also Rock/Heavy Rock crunch. I like my tones pretty bright and would like to avoid muddy tones.

2020年4月19日 · I put in a set of Tom Anderson humbuckers using the same basic wiring , it was a good sounding guitar, with the 5 way and a push pull pot I got a LOT of different tones from Tele to Strat to full humbucking. I still have the wiring diagram courtesy of some troubleshooting from Deaf Eddie if anyone wants it.

2025年1月23日 · I would use 2 SD triple shot rings and the usual 3 or 4 way switch. Easy to wire up. You get either coil in single mode or to match with either coil of the other pickup.

2025年2月9日 · Decided to try some TexMex Strat pickups, just bridge and neck, in my Schecter PT Fastback IIB which is HH. Just waiting all the parts. This has a TOM bridge and Bigsby B50. I've had the TexMex pickups in Strats before and I've really never used positions 3-4-5 on a strat much because I've tried and it isn't my thing.
