2022年4月15日 · The BRN 7 lowers are out there, and they didn't seem as popular as the 416 clone lowers, probably as 417 parts aren't exactly easy to get, so prices on them aren't awful yet. My only complaint with the Brownell's lower is that the third position has a "30" mark like the 416 does, while real 417s just have a box with an open end pictogram.

2013年1月24日 · That's why H&K created the MR556 and MR762 rifles for the civilian market, and only offer the 416/417 for Military and LE. This is the correct answer. The HK416 and HK417 are select fire only and thus only available to the LEO/MIL market.

2021年9月25日 · Also OP, I've been wanting to clone the (minus the suppressor) 417 in the OP but lack of support from HK on replacement parts and all that jazz is keeping be at bay. Hell of a commitment for a product that HK USA barely supports (OOS on everything). Also something about not being able to source a replacement barrel irks me.

2021年4月12日 · One side observation. A large number of government rifle contractors and component contractors tend ignore their commercial base that would like to have a military spec rifle. Colt, KAC, Geissele. All ignore that market. Barrett, Cadex, AU, LMT and LaRue are a little better. HK and FN have their own issues. HK has try legal restrictions.

2014年12月6日 · I'm looking for a set of HK-style diopter sights for a 7.5" 5.56 AR pistol build. Another set of Centurions were my first choice, but they are out of production and aren't easy to find. I know 416/417 sights are lower than standard AR sights, that's not a problem here since I'll never be mounting an optic to cowitness.

I will be putting the sandman S I have in NFA jail on mine soon, so I'll be in the same boat as you, however my rifle has a 417 gas block with the suppressor setting. By nature the MR is over gassed. I don't know if it is absolutely required, but it wouldn't hurt in the long run.
