HLA-DQ2 - Wikipedia
HLA-DQ2 (DQ2) is a serotype group within HLA-DQ (DQ) serotyping system. The serotype is determined by the antibody recognition of β 2 subset of DQ β-chains. The β-chain of DQ is encoded by HLA-DQB1 locus and DQ2 are encoded by the HLA-DQB1 *02 allele group.
HLA-DQ2: The Primary Celiac Disease Gene - Verywell Health
2022年11月16日 · HLA-DQ2 is one of two main celiac disease genes, and it is the most common gene implicated in celiac disease (HLA-DQ8 is the other celiac gene). Most doctors believe you need at least one copy of either HLA-DQ2 or HLA-DQ8 to develop celiac disease.
Human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-DQ2 and -DQ8 haplotypes in …
The MHC II heterodimers namely HLA-DQ2 and HLA-DQ8 comprise of alpha and beta chains, encoded by HLA DQA1∗05–DQB1∗02 (DQ2) and DQA1∗03–DQB1∗03:02 (DQ8) genes respectively. Other non-HLA genes and environmental triggers like (e.g., viral infections, gut microbiota, and others) have also been reported to play role in onset of disease.
Celiac genes - National Celiac Association
The HLA gene alleles that predispose a person to celiac disease are called DQ2 and DQ8. One may have DQ2 or DQ8 in one of the copies or in both. People who have only one copy of DQ2 or DQ8 have a risk of about 3% of having celiac disease, whereas people who have two copies of either have a risk ~10%.
Celiac Disease - GeneReviews® - NCBI Bookshelf
2008年7月3日 · Variant proteins encoded by haplotypes HLA-DQ2 and HLA-DQ8, referred to as DQ2 and DQ8, are the single most important genetic risk factor in celiac disease susceptibility, with the remainder of disease susceptibility attributed to unknown sequence variants in …
The Association of HLA-DQ2 with Celiac Disease
2021年3月31日 · HLA-DQ2.5 and HLA-DQ2.2 binds and presents gluten peptides with glutamate residues at anchor positions P4, P6, or P7). Three HLA-DQ2.2 epitopes (DQ2.2-glut-L1, DQ2.2-glia-α1, and DQ2.2-glia-α2) have sequences similar to HLADQ2.5 binding peptides, with the exception that they all carry serine at P3.
THE PREVALENCE OF HLA DQ2 AND DQ8 IN PATIENTS WITH …
The presence of HLA DQ2 and DQ8 was identified in 98,4% of 74 celiac patients, of which 79,7% had only HLA DQ2; 8,1% had only HLA DQ8 and 10,8% had both antigens histocompatibility. In the group of relatives of celiac patients, were included 29 patients; among them, 89,6% had HLA DQ2 and/or DQ8; 76% only the HLA DQ2, 10,3% only HLA DQ8 and 3,4% ...
HLA-DQ2 - an overview | ScienceDirect Topics
Over 90% of patients with coeliac disease express the HLA-DQ2 heterodimer and the remainder express HLA-DQ8 molecules. HLA-DQ2 is encoded by the HLA-DQA1*05 allele (α chain) and HLA-DQB1*02 allele (β chain). The two alleles are often present in the cis conformation on the DR3 haplotype, which is also common to many other autoimmune disorders ...
HLA-DQ2 and -DQ8 signatures of gluten T cell epitopes in ... - PubMed
Peptides combining the DQ2 and DQ8 signatures could be presented by DQ2, DQ8, and trans-encoded DQ heterodimers. Our findings shed light on the basis for the HLA associations in celiac disease and type 1 diabetes.
