3 天之前 · This design sheet was said to be the source for the centre-spread colour illustration in the Warship Profile 29 softcover booklet and in the hardcover Profile Book No.4. They give the colours as 507A, B5, B6, 507C. These are the same colours that Alan Raven suggests in Volume 2 of his Warship Perspectives booklet published in 2001.

1 天前 · The foremost colour is B6, follwed by B5, the lightest gray is supposed to be 507C (which looks completely different to WEM's 507C) and the darkest gray is 507A. At least this is something modern we know of that has the actual colours that were supposed to be on POW, namely B5 and B6.

2025年3月14日 · 507 C is a very light grey often mistaken as white. I have been told that white was not used on the RN capital ships during WWII. I'm really glad to see the sovereign hobbies paint list for Rodney. (Unfortunately I can't access Colourcoats in Canada, which is a shame as it is some of the best paint I've ever used.

The C.A.F.O. 679/42 document acknowledges the existence of the colour B.6 insomuch as it states the appropriate colours to use for pendant numbers on a B.6 background, however the reader will note that a diagram of B.6 is not contained.

2012年6月1日 · You may get away with the 507C unadjusted though because there's no MS4A with it which should look lighter than 507C if present. You may benefit from darkening the MS3 and MS4 though, as there needs to be a bit of tonal contrast between MS4 and 507C, but less contrast between MS3 and MS4.

While the box are shows the Glorious in what looks like overall RN 507C, when sunk (which is what the kit purports to represent), Glorious wore a striking two-tone camouflage pattern of 507C and 507A, as seen in the photo below, which was taken while operating with Ark Royal, not long before her demise.

2023年6月10日 · One possible interpretation is that the lightest tone on Norfolk is 507c, and the lightest on Suffolk is MS4. The dark tones in both cases are likely MS1. Mid tones unknown.
