HMS Gannet is a Royal Navy Doterel-class screw sloop-of-war launched on 31 August 1878. It became a training ship in the Thames in 1903, and was then loaned as a training ship for boys in the Hamble from 1913. It was restored in 1987 and is now part of the UK's National Historic Fleet.

HMS Gannet (stone frigate) is a Fleet Air Arm station established in 1971 at RNAS Prestwick in Ayrshire. Gannet was a tug built for the State of Victoria in 1884 and armed as an auxiliary gunboat. She was sold in 1905. LST 3006 was launched in 1945 and commissioned as HMS Tromsø in 1947.

Designed by Sir Nathaniel Barnaby, and built at Sheerness Royal Dockyard, the ship displaced 1130 tons and was capable of attaining 12 knots under full steam or 15 knots under sail.
