2024年6月7日 · My HP 8566B is a few years older but the display unit was very clean inside. Not nearly as sparkly clean as yours but I assumed that it had been internally cleaned and serviced at some point because it showed none of the soot and dust that I found inside the 8568B.

2024年6月22日 · SHIFT - PRESEL PEAK worked wonders on my HP 8566B but I think you will probably also have to tweak some cal values to get it all to track correctly. I've never tried to do this with mine so I can't offer much advice in this respect.

2020年3月2日 · I have an HP 8566B Spectrum Analyzer which has worked great for years. Recently, I turned it on and the display had a blurry dot, about a half inch in diameter. The brightness not focus has any affect. My initial thoughts are power supply, probably tantalum caps, for the display unit.

2016年9月19日 · Some time ago i bought a used HP 8566B. Quite the neat beast of a spectrum analyzer. But i noticed things being odd within a certain frequency range so i used a Gigatronics 7100 synthesizer (10MHz to 20GHz) to sweep the frequency response in that area and noticed that it is not showing correctly.

2024年6月12日 · Re: HP 8566B - What to look for? « Reply #42 on: June 22, 2024, 10:49:24 am » If you have access to a VNA (even a nanovna) that can cover up to 3GHz or higher, then you should be able to connect the VNA to the input port of the 8566B and then set the 8566B to (say) 2.7GHz on a 1MHz span and then set the input attenuator to 0dB.
