It was also upgradable with ROM modules to perform additional functions (math functions, peripheral I/O, etc). The 9810A had a built-in card reader and an optional 16-character, internal thermal printer.

2006年5月8日 · Although introduced as a third-generation machine just before the HP 9825A, the HP 9815A is really a generation unto itself in my mind. Instead of employing the 16-bit HP 211x minicomputer processor architecture as do the second- and third-generation HP desktop calculators/computers, the HP 9815A/S used the 8-bit Motorola 6800 microprocessor.

HP 9810A - current value? I may have an opportunity to buy a 9810A and can't seem to find a recent value. The two prices listed here are $185 and $500. They must not come up that often on TAS. I haven't seen a photo of it yet, but assuming it's in good condition, what would a fair offer be? Shipping these things around can't be cheap either!

On the HP 9810, the first block added supplied the functions for 15 of the keys on the keyboard. The next two blocks controlled peripherals. On the HP 9820, each of three optional blocks provided functions for one of three sets of ten keys. The HP 9830 allowed 8 blocks to be added.
