2022年9月7日 · First of all, HP should make the next headset plug & play. They should get rid of compatibility issues and should implement software interface able to assist users with no complications. I think HP is not leaving VR, maybe in 2023 they will announce new headset, not now. And it won't be called G3 imao!

2022年5月27日 · Man just looked at the specs for the meta 3 wich was the last head set I didn't know the specs for and for the price to resolution ration hp reverb is still superior to every other head set. Vibe pro 2 not even a noticeable difference and more than twice the cost, meta 3 has less resolution, areo has what I would like but even at 990.

2021年8月16日 · In retrospect it looks like he was talking about the new HP Reverb G2 revision just announced, with better tracking volume and eye relief. Kind of disappointing, as I'd love a G3 right now to offer a more affordable high end visual treat to the new Varjo Aero, but I appreciate that HP is continuing to refine and support their existing headset.

For me I havent got anything against hp. They said I would have mine in the fall and I have. They also gave £50 as a good will gesture for delays. I have connection issues at times with my headset but I have had the same with all other vr headsets I have had at some point or other. Reverb g2 seems perfect so far as far as specs are concerned.

HP spends the next year fixing various issues HP releases a Version 2 of the G2 in around October of 2021 V2 Cable fiasco VR team becomes essentially radio silent 6-8 months after v2. voodooimax rarely comments on the subreddit and hasn't been active in the discord in almost a year.

2022年2月9日 · This first needs to be addressed to open up opportunities for other hardware vendors to participate. There has to be a path for Q2 users to migrate to G3 hardware and make FB an optional opt-in. Same for Sony's PS5. So G3 needs to be an upgrade over tethered Q2/3 and PSVR2. That said, it'd be great to have wireless on a G3 to a PC.

2023年1月9日 · Same for HP, tbh I never even heard of the HP Reverb G1 back when it was out. Firmware and hardware updates to the G2 were also very minimally advertised by HP for the most part that being other media outlets rather than HP themselves. WMR Portal for SteamVR got an update just a few months ago, albeit a small one.

2020年10月14日 · Also 90z-120hz. Its pretty much more than double the pixels of current panel in the G2. It would allow a significant increase in FOV, brightness, OLED like contrast and clarity. Although it would need one hell of a GPU to power it though so I only hope a G3 would be released when DLSS 3.0 is artifact free and a 4080 can do actual 8k gaming.

2021年12月9日 · Namely screen flicker on 60Hz and tracking jitter. He said that all of these issues are hardware limitations and that HP is working on new version of HMD that will remediate these issues. I asked him whether he is talking about Omnicept and he said No. So either HP is working on revision of G2 or they are working on G3. Thoughts?
