Hinkley Point C nuclear power station (HPC) is a two-unit, 3,200 MWe EPR nuclear power station under construction in Somerset, England. [ 4 ] The site was one of eight announced by the British government in 2010, [ 5 ] and in November 2012 a nuclear site licence was granted.

Hinkley Point C is the biggest environmental project in Britain – it’s needed to help Britain Achieve Net Zero. It is the first new nuclear plant to be developed in the country in more than 20 years. The development consent order for the project from the UK government was received in March 2013.
