2022年11月20日 · Edit: also if you're getting school fatigue, take a break rather than quit. I've been there. Just remember that getting that degree would actually mean something if you're applying for an agency to do HUMINT. Literally every application asks about or wants a college education if you don't already have years of law enforcement or HUMINT experience.

Reading those books feels like reading a maths theorem without knowing axioms. Are there public manuals that teach about basic things like recruitment and management of a source or basic conspiracy skills?

2023年3月30日 · HUMINT relies heavily on your ability to interact with people and use tradecraft. This can be studied through texts and videos, but you can't try it without talking with people in real life and acquire real information and/or recruit agents.

2015年8月10日 · I didn't either until 2 1N1s told me about it briefly and then that AF times article actually mentions it in regards to retraining quotas. HUMINT is like clandestine agents and the intelligence they gather. I'm really interested to see how that will translate to an Air Force job.

2024年5月26日 · So I'm sure Intel agencies do knowingly use sociopaths in HUMINT, but are likely very careful about the specifics of who, where, when, and why-- and they are wise enough to both keep close eyes on them, and ensure there are adequate carrots and sticks in place to minimize blowback. (Those who can't be trusted can often still controlled.)

2023年3月11日 · Look into 35L. 35L = HUMINT+ and has lots of missions/work outside of just HUMINT stuff But broadly, the likelihood of doing cool stuff as 35M active duty is low. But if you want to do it, you want to do it and nothing else matters.
