2020年6月7日 · Halflings are rounded, Gnomes are pointed. Think of one as a tiny human and the other as a tiny elf. It might depend on the setting. In the Forgotten Realms, they are round. In Golarion (the Pathfinder setting) they are very pointy. Personally, I prefer the slightly pointed “leaf shape” of LotR hobbits, so that’s how it is in my setting.

When it comes to gnomes and halflings: Pointed ears also appear to be a consistent feature for gnomes in line with the definitively pointed ears in the official art for 5e. For halflings, the official art depicts them with rounded ears which is my preferred option.
