2017年7月19日 · The problem with Hannes taking the smiling titan alone was that there were no other objects to use his 3DMG on. The only thing he could use was the titan itself. That's why he was ankle slashing and stuff, he was trying to immobilise the titan and get it lower to the ground so he could kill it faster

2020年5月26日 · I recently did a rewatch aswell.. And boy it was so worth it. When it was first airing back in the past, I wasn't that proficient on English yet when and in first season I honestly missed a lot of stuff. Like Hannes's reason of having debt to Dr.Jaeger and like Eren's "dream" with his father Mikasa activation and many more minor stuff.

2016年12月17日 · tl;dr Hannes was in on the Titan plot with Grisha, and didn't run from Dinah Fritz/Smiling Titan out of fear but because he knew that he shouldn't kill her due to her connection to Grisha and/or role in whatever master attack plan he had.

2022年2月6日 · Sometimes a simple human reaction might becomes the least understandable one. Eren was in shock to see Hannes die so that he simply couldn't move. This is traumatic experience in live action. Also eren could have thought that what he sees is not even reality. He can't just go and fight and fight and fight.

2019年4月30日 · So in the start of aot we see Hannes (not sure how to spell that) drunk. But after the guys on paradis meet the marleyans, the marleyans introduce them to alcohol and the paradis guys act as if they've never seen alcohol in their life, despite Hannes being constantly drunk.

That is the beauty of S2E12. Had Hannes not gave in to his fear, he would have attacked Dina with his fate sealed - he was a coward drunkard who had only saw titans from a safe distance his whole life. Even with all his conviction in S2E12, he still failed it. It just shows that courage per se isnt always going to save the day.
