L’atmosphère qui règne entre les habitants est harmonieuse, leur générosité et leur sens du partage rend cet endroit particulièrement attachant.

Tahuata is the smallest of the inhabited Marquesas Islands, in French Polynesia, an overseas territory of France in the Pacific Ocean. It is located 4 km (2.5 mi.) to the south of the western end of Hiva Oa, across the Canal du Bordelais, called Ha‘ava in Marquesan.

Hapatoni curves around a wide bay and is accessible by boat in less than 15 minutes from Vaitahu, or by a track. The royal road is the village’s main attraction. Built on a dyke on the orders of Queen Vaekehu II in the 19th century, this paved road, lined with 100-year-old tamanu trees, extends along the shore.
