One of the most popular trails on the Sandpoint Ranger District, this trail provides access to a beautiful mountain lake. There are views of the Pack River drainage and the Selkirk Crest along the entire route.

Keep an eye out above the trail for glimpses of Harrison Peak’s dramatic hooked summit – it raises its head to the north above a timbered ridge. Snow lingers a long time along the southern shore of the lake since it is protected by high-rise cliffs. Campsites are scattered among gigantic boulders at the east end of the lake.
