2022年6月11日 · No pictures, but my haversack (polish bread bag, from 5col a few years ago) currently has a bottle of water with an olite stainless cup underneath it, a ferro rod, and a mora companion (tip of plastic sheath also in said cup) -- on the other side of the divider, a couple small plano utility boxes, one holding some jig heads and assorted soft ...
What is a good size for a haversack? | Bushcraft USA Forums
2023年10月5日 · If the WW2 haversack had a pocket on the front tho it would work OK. But size wise I think that 4.5 to 5 inches is about right for the depth, the 4" of the P37 does restrict water bottle size somewhat [ especially as the dividers are set up for an unobtainium design of water bottle] and the 3" of the gas-mask bag even more so but 6" might be ...

2019年11月3日 · At least that is not a make or break feature in my eyes. You can figure out other ways to carry a hatchet on the HS haversack. You have the molle on the sides that can be used. I think the Helikon is much larger than the HW haversack, that can be good or bad. The price has gone up on the HW haversack, but the new design is very nice.

2022年1月27日 · I like mil-surp haversacks fine, and probably never would have gotten a Hidden Woodsman haversack if I hadn't scored a good deal on the trade blanket. But since then it has become a daily companion (terrific EDC bag) and the first thing I …

2021年3月17日 · That's my biggest complaint with the haversack vs. the satchel, the satchel has 2 bottle sleeves that hold a Nalgene bottle and cup with room to spare, the single sleeve on the haversack is a tight fit w/just the bottle, a 32oz Camelbak fits better though.
Haversack, possibles bag, etc, what do you use as the bag?
2016年6月9日 · A claymore mine bag is good for a small haversack, if you can find one. A small rectangular canvas backpack can be modded to carry as a haversack - think of the small Japanese made backpacks from the 1960s or 1970s, or the small Italian Mountain Rucksack carried as a haversack (again, have to perform an easy mod with a strap).

Haversack? - Bushcraft USA Forums
2021年6月24日 · The haversack has a great history you can research online. It’s kinda like a possibles bag that black powder shooters carry. The haversack is just an easy and cheap method that was use from food sacks so they were upcycle products. Backpacks were not that available centuries ago in the haversack hay day.
