In the present study, we provide evidence that HCMV modulates mDC adhesion and migration. We show a differential regulation of CCR7 and CXCR4 upon HCMV infection of mDCs. Moreover, HCMV induces activation of β2-integrins via proteasomal degradation of CYTIP in mDCs in which HCMV established viral gene expression.
