Teela Na, the mother of Teela, is the current Sorceress, having succeeded Kuduk Ungol long ago. Imbued with magical abilities by the Pool of Power, the Sorceress is an exceptionally powerful force, but she may only use her gifts within the confines of the castle.

Comic Book Resources listed the character at ninth place in "He-Man: 15 Most Powerful Masters of the Universe": "The Sorceress is best known as the bird-headed chick who gave He-Man his magical sword and armor that gave him his powers, but she's a lot more than that. [...] she has magic powers that rival almost anyone else on Eternia".

With the development of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Zoar was reimagined as an alternate form for He-Man's mystical benefactor, herself redesigned into the Sorceress of Castle Grayskull. Zoar necessarily became female, and the Sorceress's familiar bird-themed costume is based upon the falcon's color scheme.

2024年9月8日 · The skin of the original Sorceress was not intended to be completely green as it appeared in the first MOTU minicomic He-Man and the Power Sword; instead she was supposed to wear a tight green costume, very much like Man-At-Arms. Unlike Teela, Sorceress was not supposed to have the golden leafy overlay over the front of her costume.
