2008年4月27日 · From looking at other posts, it sounds like the small blocks have a bypass passage cast into the block and water pump, but the big blocks needed the extra bypass hose if you were not going to run a heater. I need to bypass the heater core on my small block as well.

Even the early Jeep 4.0L models which employed heater control valves provided for bypass flow when the heater valve was closed.

2024年4月23日 · Bypass test, UPDATE. I see no need to bypass heater core. When I turn off the heater, the smell goes away. Heater core itself, why are the heater cores or wranglers so prone to leaking? I read not to buy cheaper aluminum cores, so what do I buy that is of the strongest quality against leaking?

2021年11月24日 · Now my heater core has sprung a leak. This isn't small - this is about 2 gallons every 40 miles from under the dash on the passenger side. I have a bucket on the passenger floor at this point. Who knows what actually killed the heater core, but it is dead. RIP.

2024年6月29日 · Yep, that's about where the heater core lives. Ugh, not looking forward to replacing it. Since it's summer, I'm thinking I'll just bypass the heater and run a short water line from the outlet at the intake manifold to the inlet at the water pump. That way, I can deal with the heater core later. My question is about the size of the heater hose.

2011年5月1日 · Heater core bypass. He said to remove the passenger seat if you are replacing the heater core which is inside the passenger compartment. But if you just want to try bypassing the heater core first to make sure that is the problem, then you do that from inside the engine compartment. Just connect the two hoses heading into/through the firewall.

2024年12月3日 · Some back story is I am not using the heater, or fan at all for that matter, as I removed the switches to turn on the fan/heat. Right now, I notice that the oil pressure stays a tad higher than normal, makes a weird hiss noise in the cabin, and smells like coolant until the thermostat opens.

Would like to find a H valve that I could put in the heater hose to bypass in the summer and turn valve for heat on cold spring and fall days. I was told old Ford F150 had such a thing? I would like some thing that looks good .
