HELLMARI is a mysterious character and NPC in OMORI. She is a demonic-looking version of MARI, which symbolizes how SUNNY remembers and thinks MARI is that OMORI and SUNNY frequently encounter throughout the game. There are three versions of HELLMARI that appear in different locations throughout OMORI.

The Red Maze is a strange, eerie maze that contains pieces of floating toast, mannequins that resemble Mari, and, in its deepest depths, Hellmari. It can only be accessed by following an invisible path on the Water Walkway, near the Corrupted Junkyard entrance.

HAUNTED TREES HANGING MAZE, also unofficially known as the RED MAZE, is a secret location in OMORI. It is an expansive red maze located within the depths of BLACK SPACE 2, holding a horrifying reminder of the truth. The HAUNTED TREES HANGING MAZE can be accessed from the northeastern DOCKS.

Hellmari extensively shows up in events such as the Red Maze should Omori touch the floating slices of toast. She is also prominently featured in the Room with Hellmari subarea, in the Corrupted Junkyard, and in the Player Room with Hellmari hovering over Sunny's bed.

In another area, often known as "the Red Maze," multiple copies of Hellmari appear, disguised as floating pieces of toast slowly pursuing Omori as he wanders the maze.
