2016年7月25日 · Hero-branded inks are made by two different companies, by Hero themselves, and by the firm Shanghai Fine Stationary, also known as the Shanghai Ink Factory. The 231 is one of those made by the latter, as one of the series in dome-shape bottles which also includes 232 blue-black, 233 blue, and 234 carbon black.

Now, of course some people think iron-gall or carbon/pigment inks implies high-maintenance and/or "damaging" to pens, and paradoxically trust inks of that type even less when they're cheap (and, well, Chinese).

2008年6月26日 · Drying time, color tone are all quite similar. The only difference is that the Hero ink gives off a vapor like some sort of water based paint used in art classes. Other than that the Hero Black would make a very economical workhorse ink as it is almost half the price of Brilliant Black. Just my humble opinion

2017年4月3日 · Fabri00 sent me samples of some inks and there were two Hero inks inside tha package - 232 and 233. Hero 232 is well behaved blue black ink that has reasonable drying time and some other cool features. First - it's, it seems, iron-gall ink. It's fully water resistant. Like all iron gall inks it will look different with different pens and papers.

If why you want to know is because you expect the ‘old’ formulation of Hero 232 ink to fulfil certain technical requirements and/or exhibit certain traits, then I'd say you should simply test whether the 232A ink fulfils those requirements independently (of whether or what the 232 ink does).

2018年4月17日 · Hero 232 is definitely more waterproof than Pelikan 4001. I just swiped a wet hand down an entire page of notes I wrote with 232 last week and there wasn't even the slightest smearing or lifting of ink. Truly waterproof! I've also had a writing sample on the window sill for a couple weeks and it hasn't faded one bit. Hero 232 is a great ink!!
