The Hazardous Environment Suit, also simply known as the HEV Suit, or the Hazard Suit, is a protective suit worn by Gordon Freeman and other members of the Black Mesa Science Team in the Half-Life series. The suit was designed for use in hazardous environment conditions. It provides limited protection from the elements.

When donning the HEV Suit for the first time: Welcome to the HEV Mark 4 Protective System, for use in hazardous environment conditions. Power-assist movement activated. (According to Half-Life's "sentences.txt", it was supposed to be used in this context, but it is only used when donning the Long Jump Module) High-impact reactive armor activated.

not only is the dreamcast HEV suit different but the dreamcast has different HD models for some NPCs compared to what GearBox included in the PS2 and PC version of Half-Life, possibly because Captivation Digital made the HD models for Dreamcast.
