I always wanted a compact android dap which can play my audiobooks, podcast and music. And the hiby does that with m300 over here. This goes one step beyond and adds some other features too which I will talk about later in this review.

2023年11月7日 · The M300 doesn’t have global MSEB/EQ/PEQ/Plugins, they are part of the HiBy Music app, and I thought they were working with BT HP or TWS—assuming you use HiBy Music as player (won’t work with Tidal native app for example).

2023年11月7日 · Hinted in multiple posts but with no “firm” confirmation from HiBy that I’m aware of: the only customization to the otherwise plain vanilla Android 13 on the M300 is a system-wide resampling to 24/192… instead of the standard 16/48.

2023年11月7日 · What is at issue is that the BTR7 has at least 1.8 ohm OI even from 3.5mm, whereas (as just told from HiBy HQ) the M300 is down at 0.24 ohms. That's 7.5x difference in damping factor (in the HiBy's favour), and the damping factor was low to start with, given that the earphone's nominal impedance is only 6.3 ohms.

2023年11月7日 · I have tried Tidal connect to no avail (allowed network access on ipad Tidal app) (allowed permission on M300 to mobile and nearby devices) Possibly it’s bluetooth between ipad and m300 (ipad says connected the m300 does not allow connection) Both on same wifi. Any advice welcomed. The hiby music app connect to M300 too is not an option either.
