It's a pity I couldn't make it to Highland Sheep and missed the stand at the Highland show this year or I could have spoken to you in person. What other shows in Scotland do you plan on attending this year?

2019年11月24日 · It's the brecknock hill cheviot that is used in South Wales, originally from the Cnewr Estate. They do well in that location and the surrounding area, on the red soil. Once these sheep are moved on to poorer soil, they don't thrive for some reason. The further away you go from there, the lesser the influence of the cheviot.

2021年2月1日 · Just a thought if you’re serious about a dedicated sheep shed - have a look at my photos of the slatted sheds from Highland Sheep 2019 in Caithness. Definitely worth a trip up for a proper look if you can manage it as well.

2021年5月4日 · A man in my sheep group has sheep on outdoor slats, seems to work well, biggest problem I'd say is collecting the water in a high rainfall area, would need plenty of shelter too, a cheap telegraph pole type structure could be put over it handy enough, seen pictures of very simple slatted sheep sheds at nsa highland sheep few years back
